Day 01 : Arrival MumbaiGateway of India, Mumbai Tour

Arrive in Mumbai. Our representative will receive them at the airport and transfer them to Hotel by private car.

Day 02 : Mumbai - Cochin

Depart Mumbai by Flight, Arrive Chennai. Our car will meet them at the airport and transfer them to Hotel.

CHENNAI: The Gateway to the South; Chennai (formerly Madras ) located besides the Bay of Bengal . Chennai is the most vibrant and enchanting cities of the South and is also one of the most exotic destinations of the Indian sub-continent.

Day 03 :  Chennai - Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry. 

After breakfast, depart for sightseeing of Mahabalipuram by the same car and guide.

Visit Shore Temple - fascinating detail on a huge whale-back shaped rock. 

After the sightseeing, continue driving to Pondicherry (Pudhucherry) arriving Hotel The Dunes in the afternoon.

PONDICHERRY: Now known as Pudhucherry became a French colony in 1675 and stayed with them till 1954, when Pondicherry merged with the Indian Union. Francois Martin, Dumes and Joseph Francois Dupleix were the most famous Governors who administered Pondicherry , which still retains its French character. Today, the Pondicherry of the French is to be found in the policemen's red kepis, on quaint signboards, in a few houses, in the statues of Dupleix and Joan of Arc, libraries and in the accented Tamil, English and French still to be heard. But this oval-shaped township, with the streets aligned at right angles is not like any other Indian town either. Its skyline from offshore is typical of the French-influenced Mediterranean settlement as is it’s town-planning. Neat, pleasant, and charming, Pondicherry has a beautiful beach and a sea that is always warm and refreshing.

Day 04  : Pondicherry

After breakfast, do sightseeing of Pondicherry visiting various Churches and walking around the quaint town.

Visit Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus located on South Boulevard, Eglise de Notre Dame des Anges on Rue Dumas, Aueobindo Ashram, Pondicherry Beach, Auroville.

Day 05 : Pondicherry - Thanjavur

After breakfast, depart for the temple town of Thanjavur arriving Hotel by lunch time.

THANJAVUR: Previously known as Tanjore became famous during the reign of Raja Chola I and his grandson. Raja Raja I ruled during the period 985 to 1013 A. D. He built the magnificent temple of Brihadeswara or Raja Rajeswara. It is said that the king was suffering from black leprosy. The remedy to get rid of this was to build a great temple to Lord Siva after bringing the Sivalingam, from the river Narmada .

In the afternoon, visit The Royal Palace : The palace near the temple is a vast building of masonry built partly by the Nayaks around 1550 AD and party by the Marathas.

Day 06 : Thanjavur - Madurai

After breakfast, visit Brihadeeswara Temple. Later drive to the other temple town of Madurai arriving Hotel in the afternoon.

MADURAI
: Madurai or the "city of nectar" is the oldest and second largest city of Tamil Nadu . This city is located on Vaigai River and was the capital of Pandyan rulers till the 14th century. Madurai is an animated city packed with pilgrims, beggars, businesspeople, bullock carts and legions of underemployed rickshaw- wallahs. Dating about 2500 years back in time, it is one of southern India 's oldest cities, and has been a centre of learning and pilgrimage for centuries.

Day 07 : Madurai

After breakfast, depart for sightseeing of Madurai city visiting Meenakshi Temple, Thirumalai Naik Palace.

Day 08 : Madurai - Periyar National Park

After breakfast, continue driving through thick jungle arriving Hotel in the afternoon.

PERIYAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY: Situated within the confines of the Western Ghats in the southern Indian state of Kerala, Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the most captivating wildlife parks in the world. Periyar is a veritable paradise of elephants. Herds of playful wild elephants have made Periyar Lake their favorite haunt for frolicking in the water. Scores of them can be witnessed bathing and swimming here. The Indian female elephants do not posses tusks like their African relatives. They are also not as swarthy as their African counterparts. Other inhabitants of Periyar include the leopard, wild dog, barking deer, mouse deer, Nilgiri langur (a primate), bonnet macaque, sambhar, porcupines, squirrels, gaur (Indian bison), wild boar and sloth bear. There are approximately 40 tigers in the area as per the latest reports. The tigers, along with the Nilgiri tahrs (a kind of a wild goat), are elusive creatures. However, an early morning visit, with luck on your side, could yield results. 

In the afternoon, do a Spice & Plantation tour/boat ride.

Day 09 : Periyar - Backwaters

After breakfast, drive by the same car to Alleppey to board the Rice boat for an overnight cruise through the backwaters.

Day 10 : Backwaters - Cochin

After breakfast, disembark and drive to the harbour city of Cochin , arriving Hotel late in the morning.

In the evening, witness Kathakali Dance Program. The dance drama form of Kathakali belongs to Kerala. The Kathakali dancer relies on exaggerated eye movements, a ferociously painted face and stylised dancing to convey the spectacle of good versus evil. While kathakali dancers are all male, Mohiniattam, another classical dance form from Kerala, is performed exclusively by women. Also belonging to Kerala are the dance forms of kuttiyatam and kalaripayattu. The native martial art form of Kalaripayattu exacts physical and mental dexterity from its exponent. People dedicate entire lives to mastering the lithe deadly graceful movements.

Day 11 : Cochin - Mumbai

After settling in the hotel, do sightseeing of Cochin city visiting Fort Kochi, Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue.

Day 12 : Cochin - Mumbai

Morning free to discover Cochin .

In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and Depart Cochin. Arrive Mumbai and our car will meet you at the domestic airport and transfer you to International airport in time for your flight back home.
