Day 01 : Arrival Delhi
Arrive in New Delhi. Traditional Indian Welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel by private car.

The imperial city of New Delhi displays the finely curved architecture of British Raj and unwinds a picture rich with culture, architecture and human diversity, deep in history, monuments, museums, galleries, gardens and exotic shows. Day 02 : Delhi

After breakfast, depart for sightseeing of New & Old Delhi by private car with an English speaking guide visiting:

Sightseeing of India Gate, Rajpath, Humayun Tomb, Qutab MInar, Rajghat, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandani Chowk, Birla Mandir.

Overnight in the hotel. 

Day 03 : Delhi - Agra

Breakfast at the hotel.

Leave for Agra by air conditioned vehicle.

AGRA: Agra came into limelight during the rule of Afghan King Sikandar Lodhi - who had made it the capital of his empire. Later in 1526 A.D., the Mughal Emperor Babar took upon himself the task for rendering Agra, a unique character and beauty of its own The golden age of Agra's history, thus began to set in. The next few hundred years of Agra witnessed the rise of the pomp and pageantry of three great Mughal monarchs - Emperor Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jahan - all of whom lavished on this fabled city, their love and richesTaj Mahal, Agra Tour, Agra Sight seeing immeasurable to transform the land into one of the great centers of art, culture, learning and commerce.

This afternoon you will be given the city tour of Agra visiting Taj Mahali.

Day 04 : Agra

After breakfast, depart for sightseeing of Agra city by the same vehicle and guide with a repeat visit to Taj Mahal. Also see The Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. 

Return to the hotel for overnight.

DAY 05 : Agra - Gwalior

Early morning, transfer to the Railway Station. Depart Agra Shatabadi Exp 0817 hrs (breakfast will be served on the train). Arrive Gwalior 0936 hrs. You will be received and transferred to Hotel by private vehicle.

GWALIOR - a historical Indian city - is located in Sate of Madhya Pradesh in Central India.The new city consists of three large areas, called Lashkar, Morar and Gwalior. Lashkar dominates in business activity while Morar serves as a market for the farmers and villagers of adjoining areas. Gwalior also known as Old Gwalior has most of the tourist places.

After settling in the hotel, do sightseeing of Gwalior city visiting The Fort, Man Mandir Temple, Sas Bahu Mandir, Archeological Museum, Tomb of Tansen, Mausleum of Ghous Mohammed, Jai Vilas Palace. Also enjoy Tonga ride will be arranged through the bazaar.

DAY 06 : Gwalior - Orchha

After breakfast, depart for Orchha by the same vehicle arriving Orchha Resorts by noon.

Orchha, meaning a "hidden place", certainly lives up to its name. Languishing amid a tangle of scrubby dhak forest, Architectural gems, however, abound in this town. Clustered around the foot of the exotic ruins, a sleepy village of neatly painted houses, market stalls, and Orchha's monuments unlike quite a few other places in this region are not bare stone. They generally seem to have a plastering on them usually. Orchha is quite a photographer's delight.

DAY 07 : Orchha - Khajuraho
After breakfast, depart for the city of Temples – Khajuraho arriving Hotel by noon.

KHAJURAHO: Situated in the heart of Central India, in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Khajuraho is a fascinating village with a quaint rural ambience and a rich cultural heritage. The fascinating temples of Khajuraho, India's unique gift of love to the world, represent the expression of a highly matured civilization. It is one of the top tourist places of India.

DAY 08 : Khajuraho

Today enjoy sightseeing of Khajuraho temples.

KHAJURAHO TEMPLES: The architectural style of the Khajuraho temples is very different from the temple prototype of that period. Each stands, instead of within the customary enclosure, on a high masonry platform. Combined with the upward direction of the structure, which is further accentuated by vertical projections, the total effect is one of grace and lightness, reminiscent of the Himalayan peaks. Each of the chief compartments has its own roof, grouped in such a way that the highest is in the centre, the lowest over the portico, a triumph of skill and imagination in recreating the rising peaks of a range. The temples of Khajuraho are divided into three geographical groups: Western, Eastern and Southern.

DAY 09 : Khajuraho - Varanasi

Late in the morning, transfer to the airport by the same car.

Varanasi : Picturesquely situated on the crescent shaped left bank of the holy Ganga, Varanasi, one of the ancient seats of learning in India, is said to be
Varanasi Ghats, Varanasi Tour, Varanasi Temple Tour a compound of the names of two streams, the Varuna and the Assi, which still flow in the north and south of the city respectively. Varanasi is probably one of the most ancient living cities in India. From time immemorial it has been a great religious center for Hindus and one of their most sacred places of pilgrimage, being visited by millions of people every year. Varanasi presents a unique combination of physical, metaphysical and supernatural elements. According to the Hindu mythology, Varanasi liberates soul from human body to the ultimate. The Ganga Ghats are full of pilgrims who flock to the place to take a dip in the holy Ganges, which is believed to absolve one from all sins. 

In the evening, witness “Aarti” (prayers) at the banks of the holy river.

DAY 10 : Varanasi

Early in the morning, enjoy boat ride on River Ganges to see the pilgrims pay homage to the Sun God.

In the afternoon, do an excursion to Sarnath – the site where Lord Buddha attained Nirvana. SARNATH: Sarnath is located at 10 Kms from Varanasi where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to the five holy men; preaching the middleway to final 'NIRVANA’.It is the place where Buddha delivered his first sermon. All the 1,000 buddhas , after demonstrating the attainment of enlightenment at Vajrasana, proceed to Sarnath to give the first turning of the wheel of Dharma. Shakyamuni also walked from Bodhgaya to Sarnath to meet the five ascetics who had left him earlier. It is said that coming to the Ganges, he crossed it in one step, and it is where King Ashoka later made Pataliputra his capital city. Deer Park was also the location of Shakyamuni's deeds as a bodhisattva in former lives.

DAY 11 : Varanasi - Delhi

After breakfast, transfer to the airport.

DAY 12 : Delhi Bagdogra (Darjeeling)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport by private car.

Arrive Bagdogra 1215 hrs

You will be received at the airport and the vehicle will drive you to hotel – an interesting drive through the pine forests and winding road.

DAY 13 : Darjeeling

Early morning visit to Tiger Hill for fabulous sunrise views of Mt. Kanchenjunga (the third highest mountain in the world at 28,156 ft). Mt. Everest (The highest peak in the world) and a host of other Himalayan giants are also seen on the horizon. On your drive back to the hotel we will stop at Ghoom, a Tibetan-Buddhist monastery.

After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing of Darjeeling town visiting The Mall and Chorasta, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Himalayan Zoological Park and Snow Leopard breeding Center, Lloyds Botanical Garden.Darjeeling Roads, Darjeeling Tour, Darjeeling Sightseeing

DAY 14 : Darjeeling

Today visit the Tea Gardens by the same car, though there will not be any plucking or processing at this time.

DAY 15 : Darjeeling

DAY 16  : Darjeeling - Gantok

After breakfast, depart by the same car for Sikkim. The drive is truly a naturalist's delight. The hillsides and mountain slopes of Sikkim are strewn with bright patches of myriad colors. The lower mountain slopes are abundant with lush green bamboo and ferns. The northern valleys are draped with wild cherry, oaks, chestnut, pines as well as magnolia varieties called Magnolia Campbeli and Michelia Doltsopa. The higher altitudes are abloom with 46 species of Rhododendrons. And of course, Sikkim's 600 variety's of orchid are everywhere. This day our 05 hour drive is interesting as we move upstream along the river Rangit through dense forests of sal and teak.

DAY 17 : GangtokGangtok Sightseeing, Gangtok Tour

After breakfast, depart for sightseeing of Rumtek Monastery and Tibetology by private car with an English speaking guide:

In the afternoon visit to Enchey Monastery and Cottage Industry.

DAY 20 : Gangtok - kalimpong

Today drive through winding road to Kalimpong – A hill station in the days of the British Raj, this charming town is two and half hours drive by road from Darjeeling. Before the Chinese took over Tibet it was the center of India's wool and silk trade with that country, with Tibetan caravans wending their way down from the Tibetan plateau to trade wool for manufactured goods. It has become a center for orchid and cactus nurseries, and exports these plants to different parts of the world. 

DAY 21: Kalimpong - Bagdogra - Kolkata

Today drive to Bagdogra in time for your flight to Kolkata

In 1772, Calcutta became the capital of British India, and the first Governor General Warren Hastings moved all important offices from Murshidabad to Calcutta. Till 1912, Calcutta was the capital of India, when the British moved the capital city to Delhi. In 1947, when India gained freedom and the country got partitioned between India and Pakistan, Calcutta was included in the Indian part of Bengal, West Bengal. Calcutta became the capital city of the state of West Bengal.
